Cloudron requires at minimum 2 GB RAM and 2 vCPU to function properly. For production use with multiple applications, we recommend at least 4 GB RAM. A VPS with 8 GB RAM is ideal for 10-20 simultaneous applications.

What applications can I install on Cloudron?

Cloudron offers over 200 ready-to-use applications: WordPress, Nextcloud, GitLab, Mattermost, Rocket.Chat, Mastodon, Matomo, Discourse, n8n, and many others. All applications are tested and maintained by the Cloudron team.

How do backups work on Cloudron?

Cloudron performs automatic daily backups of all your applications and data. Backups can be stored locally or on cloud services (S3, Backblaze B2, etc.). Restoring an application is done in a few clicks from the interface.

Does Cloudron handle updates automatically?

Yes, Cloudron automatically updates all your installed applications as well as the operating system. You can configure maintenance windows to control when updates are applied. Updates also include security patches.

Can I migrate my existing applications to Cloudron?

Yes, Cloudron makes it easy to migrate existing applications. For supported applications, you can import your data and configurations. Cloudron also provides import tools to migrate from hosts like cPanel or Plesk.
