OuiHeberg provides a quality network with 10Gbps Fair Use connectivity. This fair use policy aims to ensure that all our customers enjoy an optimal experience by clearly defining the rules for using our network resources. The Fair Use policy allows unlimited data usage, but regulates certain behaviors that could negatively affect other users.

Fair Use Definition

The term "Fair Use" or "Equitable Use" means that bandwidth is not limited in volume, but is subject to reasonable use that must not harm other customers sharing the same infrastructure. OuiHeberg reserves the right to take action if a customer's usage exceeds what is considered reasonable.

Fair Use Policy Objectives

This policy aims to:

Reasonable Use

Examples of Non-Compliant Use

The following are considered non-compliant with Fair Use:

  • Continuous use of bandwidth at 100% capacity for long periods
  • Hosting services requiring extremely high bandwidth (such as high-traffic video streaming sites)
  • Sharing or redistributing the connection to unauthorized third parties
  • Massive use for peer-to-peer download services
  • Setting up open proxies or high-traffic public VPNs
  • Activities generating an abnormally high number of requests or connections

Network Monitoring and Management

OuiHeberg uses automated systems to monitor network usage and detect anomalies. These systems allow:

  • Identifying usage peaks and unusual traffic patterns
  • Measuring the potential impact on overall service quality
  • Intervening in cases of usage likely to affect network stability

Measures Applicable in Case of Non-Compliance

In case of non-compliance with this Fair Use policy, OuiHeberg may, at its discretion:

  • Issue a warning email to the customer concerned
  • Temporarily apply bandwidth restrictions
  • Temporarily suspend the service concerned
  • In case of recurrence or serious abuse, terminate the contract in accordance with our general terms and conditions

Guaranteed Bandwidth

Although the 10Gbps connection is shared among multiple customers according to the Fair Use principle, OuiHeberg is committed to guaranteeing a minimum level of network performance. Performance may vary depending on overall network usage, but we strive to maintain a quality experience for all our users.

Transparency and Communication

OuiHeberg is committed to informing its customers:

  • In case of changes to this Fair Use policy
  • If limitation measures need to be applied to their service
  • About best practices to optimize network resource usage

Exceptions

Exceptions to this policy may be granted for specific and legitimate needs. These exceptions must be requested and approved in writing before any planned intensive use of the network.
