When hosting a Palworld server for friends or a community, there's one thing that changes everything: mastering admin commands. Teleporting a player, sending a message to everyone, saving the world, kicking out a cheater... all of this can be done in seconds directly from the game's chat.

What exactly is an admin command?
On a dedicated Palworld server (PC Steam version), an admin command is simply an instruction you type in the chat starting with /. It allows you to control your server live: manage players, force a save, schedule a shutdown, send announcements...
These commands are reserved for administrators. Regular players do not have access, giving you total control over what happens on your server without anyone being able to abuse it.
Activate your administrator rights
Before you can type any command, you must first prove to the server that you are indeed the admin. Here's how to do it.
1. Set an admin password (AdminPassword) in your Palworld server configuration. If you are with OuiHeberg, you will find it directly in the Settings tab of your panel.
2. Launch the game, connect to your server, and open the chat with the Enter key.
3. Type the following command replacing with your actual password:
/AdminPassword YourPassword
4. If everything is correct, you obtain admin rights and can use all the commands below.
Tip: Never share your admin password. If you think it has leaked, change it immediately from your server config.
The complete list of admin commands
All these commands are typed in the game chat and start with /. You must be authenticated as an admin for them to work.
/AdminPassword [password] — Authenticates you and activates your admin rights on the server.
/Info — Displays server info: game version, number of connected players, etc.
/ShowPlayers — Lists all online players with their SteamID or UID. Essential for targeting someone with another command.
/Save — Initiates a manual world save. Use before any critical action.
/Broadcast [message] — Sends a message visible to all connected players.
/KickPlayer [SteamID] — Immediately ejects a player from the server. They can reconnect afterward.
/BanPlayer [SteamID] — Bans a player. They will not be able to rejoin the server while the ban is active.
/UnBanPlayer [SteamID] — Lifts a player's ban.
/TeleportToPlayer [SteamID] — Teleports you to the targeted player.
/TeleportToMe [SteamID] — Teleports the targeted player to you.
/Shutdown [seconds] [message] — Schedules the server shutdown after a delay, with a warning message sent to all.
/DoExit — Cuts the server immediately, without delay or warning.
/ToggleSpectate — Toggles spectator mode for your character.
Warning: Never use
/DoExitwithout having done a/Savejust before. Otherwise, you risk losing the last few minutes of everyone's progress.
How does it work practically?
Once your admin rights are activated, usage is super simple:
1. Open the chat with Enter during your game.
2. Type your command starting with /, for example /Save or /Broadcast Hello everyone.
3. Press Enter to execute.
That's it. If a command doesn't go through, check two things: that you are properly authenticated as an admin, and that the command's spelling is correct (capitalization matters).

Good practice: Make it a habit to always combine
/Broadcastthen/Shutdown. Your players will appreciate being warned rather than disconnected without explanation.
Best practices for a well-managed server
Admin commands are powerful, but they must be used wisely. Here are some habits to adopt.
Correctly identify players
Several commands require a player identifier (SteamID or UID). To retrieve them, simply type /ShowPlayers — you will have the list of everyone with their identifiers. Note those of your moderators and players to monitor, it will save you time.
Always warn before a shutdown
Whether for an update, a config change, or simple maintenance, always send a /Broadcast before cutting. A sudden shutdown without warning is the best way to frustrate your players and make them lose progress.
Save at the right time
Automatic saves are good, but they are not always enough. Before a restart, an update, or a risky intervention, launch a manual /Save. It takes two seconds and can prevent you from losing an entire world.
