Not with us. We offer neither free hosting nor a free trial. The game's dedicated server is free on Steam, but hosting it at home means a PC that stays on all the time, a good connection and open ports on your router. Renting a 7 Days to Die server from us starts at $6.92 per month, with no commitment.
Here is how to host a 7 Days to Die server with OuiHeberg. Pick a plan and a country, then pay. Your server installs by itself. Open serverconfig.xml in OuiPanel to give it a name and a password, restart, then join it with Connect to IP.Read the setup guide →
Your 7 Days to Die server is yours. You choose the name, the password, the mods, the player slots and the admins. It runs 24/7, and your world stays in place even when nobody is online.
On our servers, 7 Days to Die with no mods uses about 3 GB at idle and climbs toward 5 GB with players. As for 7 Days to Die server requirements, plan on 8 GB for a game with friends, 12 GB with mods or a bigger group, 16 or 24 GB for a community or big mod packs. The game itself takes about 17 GB of storage.
8 by default. You change this number in the Max Players variable in OuiPanel, not in serverconfig.xml. Our plans change the memory, and so the recommended number of players. Up to 8 on Start, 8 to 16 on Plus, 16 to 24 on Pro, 24 and up on Ultra.
In the game, open the server list, choose Connect to IP, then enter the IP address and port shown in OuiPanel. If you set a password, the game asks for it.
The game allows it on a PC dedicated server, under strict conditions. EAC must be on, ServerAllowCrossplay enabled, the server limited to 8 players and running no mods at all. Consoles then find it in the game's server list, not by IP address. We have not tested this on our servers and do not guarantee it. Our 7 Days to Die servers are sold for PC players on Steam.
Drop the mod's folder into the server's Mods folder, over SFTP or with the file manager, then restart. XML modlets work with EAC on. A mod with a DLL requires turning off EAC in serverconfig.xml. Mods that add items must also be installed by your players. Mods remain unsupported by us.Read the setup guide →
Yes, over SFTP, in the Mods folder, like any other mod. An overhaul requires turning off EAC, and every player must install it on their side. It uses more memory, so take at least the Plus plan. Overhauls remain unsupported by us.
At the root of the server, in the OuiPanel file manager or over SFTP. It holds the server name, its password, EAC and the game's other settings. Save, then restart to apply your changes. The port and the player slots are set by OuiPanel.Connect over SFTP →
Add your Steam ID to the serveradmin.xml file, in the game's Saves folder, then restart. You then have access to the game's admin commands. The setup guide shows the line to add.Read the setup guide →
Fill in the ServerPassword line in serverconfig.xml, save, then restart. Left empty, the server is open to everyone.
The server starts on Navezgane, the game's own map. The game also ships four pregenerated 6K and 8K maps, Pregen06k01, Pregen06k02, Pregen08k01 and Pregen08k02. The GameWorld line in serverconfig.xml shows which map is in use.
Yes. Every 7 Days to Die server rental includes DDoS protection, up to 3 Tbps, at no extra cost.
In France in Marseille, in Germany in Frankfurt, in the United States in New York, in Canada in Beauharnois and in Australia in Sydney. Start, Plus and Pro are available everywhere, Ultra everywhere except Australia, at the same price. Pick the city closest to most of your players.
Yes. Moving to a bigger plan resizes your server with no reinstall and no data loss, in the same country.
Yes. In OuiPanel, the Sub-users page invites a friend by email, with the permissions you choose. They don't need your OuiHeberg account.
Take a OuiBox. It groups several servers, 7 Days to Die, Minecraft or Rust, and shares its memory between them. Your 7 Days to Die server moves there without losing data.See the OuiBox plans →
