Yes, every player does. RedM needs a legal, up-to-date copy of Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC, bought on Steam, the Epic Games Store or the Rockstar Games store. The RedM client is then downloaded from redm.net. The server itself does not need the game. RedM does not exist on console, so PlayStation or Xbox players cannot join.

It is the license key Cfx.re requires to start a RedM server. You create it for free on portal.cfx.re, with your account. On first start, open txAdmin with the PIN, link that same Cfx.re account, then paste the key into the setup wizard. If you turn txAdmin off, it goes into the CFX license variable in OuiPanel instead. Without a key, the server does not start.

Yes, and it is on from delivery. On first start, the OuiPanel console shows its address and a PIN. Open the address and enter the PIN. Then click Link Account and sign in on forum.cfx.re with your Cfx.re account, which is free. txAdmin has no account or password of its own. The setup wizard then asks for your key. Server commands go into the txAdmin Live Console. Its port is assigned for you, so you have no port to add.

Launch RedM, open the console with the F8 key and type connect followed by the server address and port, shown in OuiPanel.

RedM uses port 30120 by default, over TCP and UDP. On our servers, two ports are assigned for you, one for the game and one for txAdmin. OuiPanel shows the game address and port. That pair is what your players enter to connect.

The FXServer build recommended by Cfx.re at install time, with txAdmin. For a specific build, enter its number in the CFX version variable in OuiPanel, then reinstall the server. Take a backup first.

Your server name and listing in the RedM server list are set on portal.cfx.re, with your key. Without them, it shows up as "Missing server data". Whether it then appears in the list depends on Cfx.re, so we cannot guarantee it.

Cfx.re publishes no official memory figure, and FXServer runs on Linux or Windows. Memory depends mostly on your framework, scripts and maps. Plan on 4 GB to set up and test your server, 8 GB for an RP server with its framework, 12 or 16 GB for a community that loads many resources.

48 by default, the RedM limit without a subscription. You change it in the Maximum players variable in OuiPanel, from 1 to 300. Above 48, the server owner needs a Cfx.re Element Club subscription. How many players your server really handles also depends on your framework and scripts.

Not to get started. The free Cfx.re key covers up to 48 players. To go higher, take the Cfx.re Element Club subscription, often called a Patreon key, then raise the Maximum players variable in OuiPanel, up to 300. You take it on the Cfx.re website, we do not provide it.
