Under Server Settings, Server Name, Server Password and Server Playstyle set the name, password and PVP or PVE mode of your SCUM server. Max Players sets the number of slots, 64 by default and from 1 to 128. Each variable is saved with its tick and applied at the next start.
The server creates this file on its first start, in SCUM/Saved/Config/WindowsServer. Open it in the file manager or over SFTP with the server stopped, change a value, save, then start.

SCUM is configured through files, without joining the game. The server creates them on its first start, in SCUM/Saved/Config/WindowsServer. You open them in the OuiPanel file manager or over SFTP.

No. The SCUM server downloads without a Steam account, we need neither your login nor your password, and no variable has to be filled in for it to start. Only your players need the game.
A private SCUM server is yours. You set the rules, PVP or PVE, the loot, the economy and the raid times, and you pick your admins. It stays online 24/7, even when you are not playing, and you can keep it for your group only.
Gamepires only publishes a 64-bit Windows version of the dedicated server. On our Linux machines, it runs with Wine, a compatibility layer for Windows programs. You have nothing to install, and your settings files stay the same as on Windows.
Gamepires gives no official figure. On our servers, SCUM uses about 10 GB of RAM with no players at all, and the load grows with players, built objects and NPCs. Hence a 12 GB minimum with the Start plan, for a small group. To host more people, we recommend the Plus plan and its 16 GB.
